Nancy McLean is a visual artist who enjoys the creative energy that surrounds one when living on Cape Breton Island. Nancy is drawn to contrasts of light, texture and space, and uses fine detail to convey these elements in her original paintings. The subjects for her watercolours include garden moments, landscape and coastlines of Cape Breton, and shared glimpses from her travels to Italy and France.
Nancy grew up in Sydney NS, and received her BFA and BA in Art Education from the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design, Halifax NS. She taught visual art in many schools throughout Cape Breton and is a juried member of the Cape Breton Centre for Craft and Design.
